Requirements for Dual Degree
Students can enter the “Interdisciplinary Science Degree Program” and Interdisciplinary Dual Degree through examinations, application, or the New College Admission Process (繁星計畫). Other then satisfying the requirements of their original major, students must also follow the requirements listed below and earn a total of at least 35 credits. The credits earned cannot be shared and counted towards the credits required for graduating from the original major.
Enrollment and Course Requirement
- High school students can enter the “Interdisciplinary Science Degree Program” through examinations, application, or the New College Admission Process (繁星計畫).
- Freshmen in the College of Science can enter the program by recommendations from at least one professor in the college or by passing the College Entrance Examination.
- Sophomores in the College of Science can apply for enrollment in the program, provided that they have strong motivation and also good academic performance in the first year.
Except required credits in their belonged department, students will get double major degree if they earn extra 35 credits include required and mandatory courses listed below. The Program also required 21 credits minimum in core course, and that should be different from their major. For example, physics-majors can take either chemistry or mathematics core courses. The selection of the core course will be decided under the supervision of advisors based on the interests and career plans of the students.
